Indexing and Abstracting

The Official Journal of CELA.
Founded in 1982, Landscape Journal publishes original research, editorials, systematic literature reviews, and reviews of books, conferences, technology, exhibitions, and built works. Two new article types—“in practice” essays and policy briefs—are also welcome.
Landscape Journal is an international forum for double-blind, peer-reviewed research and scholarship. Contributions to theory, practice, and education are welcome from scholars, educators, and practitioners in landscape architecture and allied disciplines. Landscape Journal examines the causes and consequences of landscape change and the effects of land planning, design, and management on the built and natural environments.
In the context of global urbanization, climate change, and other pressing societal and environmental challenges, Landscape Journal welcomes scholarship that examines:
- land planning, design, and management processes and social-ecological outcomes over a range of spatial contexts and temporal scales
- relationships between landscape structure and function, whether in the past, present, or potential futures, and across urban, suburban, or rural contexts
