Old Sleuth's Freaky Female Detectives
(from the Dime Novels)
Garyn G. Roberts, Gary Hoppenstand and Ray B. Browne

Popular Press

This collection provides a concentrated sampling of "freaky" females from several of the more popular series: the Old Sleuth serials. An introduction to the volume discusses the history of dime novels, provides an examination of freaky female detective novels, and discusses the leveling out of freakiness in normality.
