Midwest Ramblin'
The Goose Island Ramblers

"The Ramblers . . . bring a rich heritage of Norwegian fiddle and dance music to their string-band-with-accordion format."Old Time Country

"The Ramblers' songs are largely parodies, sung in the gruff, hearty, ya-you-betcha style of Midwest radio legend Slim Jim, and their instrumental arrangements keep a long program fresh, with occasional twin fiddle, mandolin-fiddle, or dobro accompaniments to the accordion's lead."
—The Old-Time Herald

Now on CD, a toe-tapping re-release of 27 old-time music tunes by Wisconsin's beloved Goose Island Ramblers, Bruce Bollerud, George Gilbertsen, and Wendy Whitford, who began performing their special blend of accordion, fiddle, guitar, and humor in the Madison area in the 1960s. Included are original songs by the Ramblers ranging from the zany "There's No Norwegians in Dickeyville" to the "Ballad of JFK."
