A live performance recording

A live performance recording of original works and improvisations for unaccompanied woodwinds. Recorded live in Mills Hall at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Les Thimmig: flute and alto flute; E-flat, bass, and contrabass clarinets; sopranino, soprano, and tenor saxophones; portative organ.

Les Thimmig teaches composition, woodwind performance, and jazz studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Music. He holds degrees from Eastman School of Music and Yale University. His compositions are recorded on numerous prominent labels, and he has appeared as soloist with ensembles and orchestras throughout the world. He is a member of the Latino ensemble Madisalsa and the Adam Unsworth Ensemble and is leader of the Les Thimmig 7.
