These classical music CDs display the talents of nationally renowned musicians associated with the UWMadison School of Music. Postcard from Madison, Volume 1 features Stephanie Jutt, flute; Perry Karp, cello; and Jeffrey Sykes, piano, playing chamber music by Frank Bridge, Paul Schoenfield, Rebecca Clarke, Bohuslav Martinu, and J.S. Bach. Volume 2 features the same trio plus Sally Chisholm on viola, playing works by Prokofiev, Ernest Chausson, Rachmaninoff, Gabriel Pierné, J.S. Bach, Haydn, Schumann, and Dvoþrák.
Stephanie Jutt is associate professor of flute and Perry Karp is professor of music and director of the string chamber music program, both at the University of WisconsinMadison. Jeffrey Sykes is music director of Opera for the Young and, with Stephanie Jutt, is co-artistic director of the Bach Dancing and Dynamite Society. Violist Sally Chisholm is artist-in-residence with the Pro Arte Quartet and associate professor at the UWMadison.
