Adobe Digital Editions If you are a first time e-book buyer in the Digital Editions format, we suggest BEFORE purchasing your new e-book you: 1. Create your own Adobe ID and account 2. Download Adobe Digital Editions software 3. Checkout with your e-book purchase.   You will not need to repeat these steps when you wish to purchase another e-book. However, in order to access an e-book on a different media device (ex: laptop, Nook, Sony Reader) you will need to download the Adobe Digital Editions software or app onto that device.
